• South Central Community Action Partnership Self-Help Housing

  Formerly Mercy Housing-the Self Help Housing program is similar to HFHMV. A group of families work together to build their house and the houses of their neighbors. House payments are adjusted to the family’s income. Families commit to a minimum of 35 hours per week to build all the houses in their group with friends and family support. The construction is well built, affordable, and energy efficient.  Call the SCCAP office for and application.

• South Central Community Action Partnership

  SCCAP is a non-profit dedicated to helping people out of poverty. They offer a range of services including transitional housing, weatherization assistance, referral services, and food assistance.

  Provides supportive services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, including temporary housing.

• Safe House

  The Safe House is a non-profit group home for children between the ages of 5-17. They have 8 long term beds and 2 shelter beds. The long term beds are for child protection cases and shelter beds are used for crisis situations and Project Safe Place referrals.
